Perming

Getting your hair permed involves use of chemicals to break and reform the disulfide bonds of the hair. The hair is washed and wrapped on a perm rod and waving lotion is applied with a base. This solution creates a chemical action that softens the inner structure of the hair. It reacts with the keratin of the cortex, breaking some of the disulfide cross-links within and between the protein chains.

The hair swells and softens and stretches. The hair then molds around the shape of the perm rod. After a specified period of time, the hair is rinsed and a neutraliser is applied. It is the neutralizing solution that reforms the disulfide bonds of the hair and sets the new curls. Hair perms can be done with acid or alkaline hair perming solutions. Alkaline wave hair perm works best for resistant hair and Asian hair and hair with low elasticity. This time of perm is also used for normal healthy hair. Acid wave hair perms are milder than the alkaline ones and are ideal for fragile, damaged or colored hair.

Rebonding

Thermal rebonding, what is it? There appears to be a lot of confusion out there mainly due to the various amounts of names like TR, Chemical straightening, Permanent straightening etc. along with all the other names which are ususally just the brand name.

All forms of straightening require a chemical of some form, it's just some are harsher than others with their ingredients. TR or Thermal Rebonding is given this name as after the soloution is applied controlled heat is used across the hair prior to any neutralising of the active ingredients.
This allows for healthier smoother results.

Cap Highlighting

Hair Highlights can give you the most natural looking hair colors or the most outrageous colors. Hair Highlights create three different effects and you may want to have an idea what kind you want and what would look good on you before you start. Let's have a look what effects you can achieve with highlights.

There are a several reasons why you may want to highlight in your hair. One is to color small or large sections of your hair in a totally different color(s) than your base color. This will create a look that is extreme but can be great fun if that is all you are looking for. This method of "highlighting" is the new trend. However this type of highlighting is not intended to enhance your looks. It will not be congruent with the rest of you, your skin tone and your eye color. However if you want to go "crazy" with different hair colors and want people to notice you then this is the type of "highlighting" you want.

Tinting

You'll often hear a stylistsay "to go any lighter we'll have to use bleach.". Clientsusually respond with "What's the difference?"

Many people think that anythingthat lightens the hair is a bleach. This is not true. A bleachwill remove colour from the hair. That's all. A tint replacesthe colour with a new colour. Different manufacturers claim theirproducts will do certain things but a general rule is that tintswill only lift the hair 4 shades.

Some high-lift tints claimto lighten up to 5 shades but this is only on hair that is lightbrown or lighter.

A bleach will take the hairthrough several stages of lightening from deep orange to verypale yellow.

Highlights

To color or to highlight, that's the question. We find women with short hair look better with full color rather than highlights. If you have medium-length to long hair, highlights -- especially around the face -- can be very flattering. For the most natural-looking highlights, you can ask your stylist for up to five different shades of color, according to 'Confessions.'
Keep in mind that due to root growth, all-over coloring will need to be touched up every four to eight weeks, while highlights can last up to two or three months.

Different types of highlights. There are basically four types of highlights: basic foil highlights, baliage or 'hair painting', chunking or 'piecing' and lowlighting.

Temporary Colours

Hair coloring products generally fall into four categories: temporary, semipermanent, deposit only/demi, and permanent. All these hair color products, except for temporary color, suggest a patch test before application to determine if the client is balding from the product. "Hair lightening," referred to as "bleaching" or "decolorizing," is a chemical process involving the diffusion of the natural color pigment or artificial color from the hair. This process is used so that hair wont be damaged by redying your hair.

Hiar Styling (unisex)-Ladies & Gents

For humans, haircut, hairstyle, or hairdo normally describes cutting or styling hair on the top of the head, although it may also refer to the cutting and styling of facial hair.

The Hair is a special arrangement of hard keratin. Keratins are proteins; long chains of amino acids. Unlike other animals, human beings of many cultures cut their hair, rather than letting it grow naturally. Hair styles are often used to signal cultural, social, and ethnic identity and can be used to illustrate social status or individuality. It is a common misconception that men and women have the same hair.

Conditioning & Oil Treatment

For centuries, Natural oils have been used to condition human hair. These natural products are still used today, including essential oils such as tea tree oil and carrier oils such as jojoba oil. A conditioner popular with men in the late Victorian era was Macassar oil, but this product was quite greasy and required pinning a small cloth, known as an antimacassar, to chairs and sofas to keep the upholstery from being damaged by the greasy Macassar oil.

Modern hair conditioner was created at the turn of the century, when well-known perfumer Ed. Pinaud presented a product he called brilliantine at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris. His product was intended to soften men's hair, including beards and mustaches. Since the invention of Pinaud's early products, modern science has advanced the hair conditioner industry to include those made with silicone, fatty alcohols, and quaternary ammonium compounds. These chemical products allow the benefits of hair conditioner without feeling greasy or heavy.

Hairloss Treatment(Cosmoligh & High Frequency)

Alopecia is the general medical term for hair loss, and it has many different causes. Normal human hairs can be classified according to their phases of growth. Anagen is the growing stage of hair, while telogen is the sleeping stage of hair. About 80 percent of the hairs in the human scalp are growing hairs and about 20 percent of them are sleeping hairs. It has been estimated that the scalp normally contains about 100,000 hairs. Therefore, the average number of hairs that can be lost in a day is about 100. Contrary to popular belief, neither shaving nor hormonal changes, such as menstruation, has any effect upon hair growth.

Hair loss can be broken down into several different types, including alopecia areata (temporary hair loss in a coin-shaped patch), telogen effluvium (temporary hair loss secondary to a stressor on the system), and androgenetic alopecia (male-pattern hair loss). For the purposes of our discussion, we will focus on male-pattern hair loss. It generally shows itself in the 20s or early 30s by gradual loss of hair, chiefly on the top of the head and in the angles at the frontal hairline. There are several different patterns to this hair loss, but male-pattern hair loss is the most frequently encountered type. The exact mechanisms are still unknown. We have no doubt, however, that inherited factors and the effect of androgens (male hormones) on the hair are most responsible.

Head & Shoulder Massage

In technical analysis, a chart pattern indicating the rise and fall of a stock's price throughout a given period and characterized by a peak followed by a decline, a second peak that rises above the first peak followed by a decline, and finally a third rise to a level below the second peak followed by a decline. The first and third peaks are shoulders while the second peak is the pattern's head. Technical analysts generally consider a head-and-shoulders pattern to be a very bearish indicator if the second shoulder declines below a line connecting the bottom points of the two intermediate declines. An upside-down formation is said to be an inverted head-and-shoulders formation and is considered to be a bullish indicator.
